SIPHENE 100mg Tablet belongs to the class of drugs called selective oestrogen receptor modulator. It works by blocking the effect of oestrogen hormone in the body, which in turn increases the levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinising hormone (LH). These hormones are essential for ovulation.

Uses

Siphene 100mg Tablet is used in the treatment of female infertility. It is used for types of infertility, in women who are not ovulating properly.

Dosage:

Siphene 100 mg contains, Clomiphene Citrate, is used for female infertility. You may find in various strengths and substitutes with various strengths and should be given on prescription only. Consult your doctor for dosage and time.
Females are advised to take Siphene 100 mg at a fixed time as timing of the tablet is the most important factor. You may take it with or without food. It raises the chances of conception in infertile Women. It is not recommended for the children, adolescents below 18 yrs and for women after menopause.

SIDE EFFECTS

Ovarian enlargement, rupture of lutein cysts, intraperitoneal hemorrhage, dizziness, nausea, rashes, depression, weight gain, loss of hair, hot flushes, blurring of vision, breast tenderness, abdominal discomfort.

Siphene 100 mg is contraindicated in conditions like:

         ·         Hypotension
         ·         Breast and cervical Cancer or Ovarian Cyst
         ·         Pregnancy and Breastfeeding women
